As a GRAPHISOFT partner, Applecore Designs would like to share the many ways we have jointly been helping studios throughout COVID-19 and the transition period after Brexit.
During lockdown, Zoom discarded the 40 minute time limit for free basic account holders, which in turn, helped schools continue teaching their students throughout , and also made it easier for friends and family to get together while staying safe at home.
Free Emergency Archicad Licences
Many of our customers around the UK and Europe had shifted to working from home. In the beginning, this posed challenging for some, one of which was how to manage Archicad network licenses remotely with often poor bandwidths from home and limited VPN connections. To assist our users with their work from home transition, GRAPHISOFT introduced 30-day Emergency Licenses back in March. These will be phased out fully by the end of September.
Looking back at these past 6 months, we are happy to see that Emergency Licenses were very well received and helped users in the first few challenging months. We also see that most of these studios have managed to adapt to the new ways of working.
BIMcloud SaaS for Teams
To coincide with Archicad Emergency Licence access, GRAPHISOFT also offered free emergency access to BIMcloud as a Service (SaaS) for 60 days. BIMcloud SaaS is a cloud solution to help distributed teams work collaboratively together. They extended access to this service to assist users in working more efficiently in challenging times where many had unexpectedly shifted from the workplace to home.
Archicad & BIMcloud. Free for 6 months.
Continuing on from emergency licences and access to services, over the past 2 months we have been offering Archicad 24 Teamwork commercial licences and self paced video tutorials, free for 6 months to design professionals across the UK. Teams can also take advantage of BIMcloud SaaS, perfect for remote working.
Six months free commercial use of Archicad and BIMcloud, with no strings attached.
Rather than upping costs of software like other vendors during these difficult and challenging times, Graphisoft, launching a new version of Archicad in July, decided to help new and existing users as part of a ‘Furlough your software costs’ programme.
Whether you are new to Archicad or an existing user, and fall into one of the following categories, you can take advantage of the programme.
- All studios new to Archicad and BIMcloud
- New start up studios
- Existing Archicad 24 users that require more licences or would like to use full BIMcloud
- Existing Archicad users that would like to move up to the latest version
- Students graduating in 2020
If you are evaluating your software options or face increasing costs from your current vendor, we are providing all the essential components for your studio to make the switch to model based design. We encourage you to fill out a request form or get in touch directly.
