At Applecore Designs we love showcasing a wide variety of projects, especially when it involves using model based design and Archicad. Below, we focus on our top 3 rendering solution’s, all of which communicate articulately with Archicad, ensuring a smooth workflow for building design professionals.
A pioneer in architectural visualisation and compatible with all the 3D modelling software on the market, Artlantis is one of the easiest and fastest solution for creating photorealistic renderings.
Designed with an obvious and ergonomic interface, Artlantis is comfortable to learn and use. Artlantis is used by experts, advanced users and beginners alike to simulate, present and communicate their projects, by producing both high quality still images and animations with striking photo-realism in record time

Powered by the Unreal Engine, Twinmotion leverages its real-time rendering capabilities to elevate an architect’s creative design process for ideation, prototyping, space planning, massing studies and standalone VR presentations.
The rendering software allows creatives to reflect upon any design development in real time while maintaining excellent visual fidelity and photorealistic image quality. Twinmotion’s library of PBR (Physical Based Rendering) materials that react to the environment gives you the ability to achieve the realistic look of a final rendering.
Twinmotion is available free with Archicad 24 Teamwork perpetual licence, annual subscription or annual rental, and offers direct one-click synchronisation. Twinmotion’s smart and tight integration with Archicad via the Direct Link plugin accelerates 3D design and visualisation workflows in architectural practices. With the live-connection, both the Archicad and Twinmotion model are synchronised in real-time, enabling architects to edit the model and make design decisions on-the-fly, while all changes made in the Archicad model are subject to an automated update process inside Twinmotion.
Cinema 4D Rendering (Cineware)
Beginners and seasoned professionals alike can take advantage of Cinema 4D’s wide range of tools and features to achieve stunning results thanks to its friendly interface.
Cinema 4D offers its users a wealth of help, regardless of experience, which makes the software great for those ambitious to learn more. Maxon provides plenty of tutorials, alongside the Cinema 4D community, which is great for those looking to excel. The help doesn’t end there – if you are unsure about a specific function, this can be quickly answered by right-clicking on it and jumping straight to the integrated software documentation.
Archicad’s built-in Cineware Engine comes with pre-set scenes and user-friendly Basic Settings to make this process easier. Cineware is optimised to work with corresponding Surfaces (with a catalogue of hundreds of predefined surfaces) and Light objects. Even if you only use the Basic-level settings, you can quickly create good renderings with a minimum of effort.
The full menu of Detailed Settings is also available for Cineware. These correspond to Maxon Cinema4D version R21, and incorporate most of its parameters.
