The GRAPHISOFT connection is a free add in for Autodesk Revit applications. The add in improves further the IFC model-based and bi-directional data exchange in an OPEN* format.
The new add-in not only updates previous add-ins for the latest Revit applications, but also contains some new functions.
- Improved IFC Import – imports IFC models to Revit using extra features that improve the interpretation of architectural models;
- Link IFC – merges IFC models into the current Revit project as a non-editable reference;
- Export to ARCHICAD – exports Revit model elements in IFC files that are specially enhanced for use in GRAPHISOFT ARCHICAD.
Most importantly: the new add in handles the improved import and export functions of all Revit applications, including Revit Structure and MEP. External IFC model content created by consultants – such as Structural or MEP engineers – can now be placed as hotlinks into the latest ARCHICAD 21 as protected reference content.
(Note: for previous Revit versions, these were handled by two separate add-ins)
