BIM Conference – Thursday 29 September 2016

Applecore Designs are delighted to inform you that we will again be the organisers of the BIM Conference 2016 being held on Thursday 29 September 2016.

The Programme Committee have assembled knowledgeable speakers in their field with the main BIM Conference emphasis focusing on the practical support available, enabling businesses across the Construction Industry to move from theory to reality.

Prof Mervyn Richards OBE “no theories, just the facts” keynote presentation, will be followed  by David Emery’s involvement with the ‘West Midlands Virtual Hospital’ an ‘exemplar BIM project’, Duncan Reed’s fully collaborative approach to the delivery of projects using open BIM workflows and Steve Owen highlighting that BIM data is key to the success of Facilities Management (FM) right to the point of handover.

Whatever your level of BIM experience you will not only be exposed to these four knowledgeable speakers but also attend a selection of very informative workshops in the afternoon.

Delegates at the BIM Conference will learn about:

  • OPEN BIM, as a business process
  • The ‘federated model’ workflow with IFC and BCF
  • Big Data
  • PAS BS1192
  • BIM protocol, model checking and validation
  • Facility Management

As with previous events, this one day conference will take place in the Midlands. A truly unique and stunning venue, Coombe Abbey is a country house hotel nestled within the UK’s historical heartland of Warwickshire; easily accessible by road, rail and air.

You have the choice of a full delegate package (free parking, lunch and refreshments) with or without accommodation, and a reduced rate is available for the first 40 delegates. Due to the overwhelming response to our previous Conferences we recommend booking early.
