Case Studies

CAD has been around now for many years, and the computer workstation has become as much a part of our workspace as the drawing board ever was.

Currently designs are conceived in 3D, documented in a 2D format, and then constructed in a 3D world as interpreted from the 2D drawings. However, the building industry is quickly finding that 2D CAD has become about as efficient as it can be, and must now harness the power of the computer and do more than just mimic drafting.

Please find below case studies from a selection of the growing number of building design professionals who have successfully managed the transition from 2D FlatCAD to 3D Building Information Modelling (BIM) with ArchiCAD's tried and tested Virtual Building™ concept.
