Finding your ArchiCAD licence number

It is important to keep a record of your ArchiCAD licence number. This is also known as the ArchiCAD ‘dongle number’. The ‘dongle’ is the ‘usb’ or ‘parallel’ licence key which plugs in to your machine and provides your ArchiCAD licence.

The dongle number is required when upgrading or changing registration details of your licence. To find your dongle number, please follow these simple steps:

• Connect your dongle to your computer
• Open a web browser and go to the following web page
  • https://upgrade.graphisoft.com
    
• You will see the following page -
  
  
  
• This page will provide information on any dongles connected to the machine.

Alternative method of Windows Users

In the Control Panel, double click on the WIBU-KEY option

The following dialog will then appear as shown below:

As you can see from this example, the ArchiCAD dongle is a USB key with the number as shown.

If you have more than one dongle on your network, you can use the scan ports button to show all available licences.

This is the number which you need to keep a secure record of.
